Privacy Policy

The short version: Dalee collects nothing. No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party data sharing. Your puzzle progress and streak stay on your device and never reach us.

1. Who we are

Dalee ("the app", "we", "us") is a single-player daily word puzzle for iOS. This policy explains how the app handles information — and, importantly, how little it touches.

2. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, request, transmit, or store any personal information. Specifically, Dalee does not collect:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any account/contact details
Precise or approximate location
Device identifiers, advertising IDs (IDFA), or fingerprinting data
Usage analytics, telemetry, crash logs, or behavioral data
Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or any other device permissions
Payment or financial information (the app is free and has no purchases)

3. Information stored on your device

To make the game work, Dalee saves a small amount of data locally on your device only, using the operating system's on-device storage:

Your progress on the current day's puzzle (letters guessed)
Your statistics: current streak, best streak, games played, and wins

This information is never transmitted off your device, is not accessible to us, and is not backed up to any Dalee server (because there is no Dalee server). It may be included in your own device's iCloud/local backups, which are controlled entirely by you and Apple.

4. Third-party services

Dalee integrates no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, analytics providers, or trackers. The only third party involved is Apple, which distributes the app through the App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your data from Apple.

5. Data sharing and selling

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any information, because we do not collect any. There is nothing to share.

6. Children's privacy

Dalee is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.

7. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and others)

Privacy laws such as the EU GDPR and California CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Since Dalee holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access or delete on our end. To remove all locally-stored game data, simply delete the app from your device. We do not sell personal information and have no "Do Not Sell" obligations because no data is collected.

8. Data security

Because no data leaves your device, there is no transmission or server storage that could be intercepted or breached on our side. On-device data is protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption).

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
